Beacon Bactericidal™ textiles look and feel like regular fabrics. There is no stiffness, striping, or muddy coloring. High performance and low maintenance, our durable fibers help extend the life of the product and require no special handling throughout fabric production. These are easy-care, wrinkle resistant linens with less than one percent shrinkage
Our state-of-the-art, American-made fibers offer better antimicrobial and anti-viral protection because the silver is not just a coating that washes away. It’s actually embedded in the fibers themselves. Woven with these special fibers, our fabric is precisely engineered to distribute bacteria-killing silver as near to the surface as possible to maximize contact with bacteria. Independent studies show the efficacy against viruses, mold, mildew, fungus, and odor-causing bacteria remains just as strong after 100 industrial launderings as it was after the first.
Developed with manufacturers and product designers in mind, these fabrics are ideally incorporated into products that benefit from long lasting durability and powerful odor control.

Though Beacon Bactericidal™ continuously active antimicrobial textiles have a proven record of fighting acne, mold, mildew, fungus, and odor-causing bacteria, we see this as just the beginning of our mission.
Harmful bacteria can endanger patients and healthcare workers alike. Every year, more than 1.7 million people in American hospitals contract hospital acquired infections (HAIs). The Centers for Disease Control estimate that costs associated with HAIs start at $28 billion annually. HAIs are transmitted in many ways, so protection is a battle on many fronts. Hazards like contaminated lab coats, scrubs, bed linens, and other textiles can be overlooked in infection control programs, despite being in constant contact with patients and healthcare providers.
A recent study in the journal Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology (ICHE) showed that hospital privacy curtains made with this new technology killed more than 99.9% of Klebsiella and MRSA bacteria within two hours of exposure, and kept up that performance even after multiple exposures.
